Who am I and why should you care?
One thing about me is that I am the epitome of average. When I graduated from high school they released a list of graduates in GPA order from highest to lowest and I was the exact middle number. I am the top of the bell curve. And I’m usually late to the party (starting a blog in 2023?!) Or maybe I’m just a late bloomer.
One of the wonderful things about the internet is the sharing of ideas and experiences and how we find commonality. You mean that one weird thing I do isn’t actually that weird? Everyone does that? And we find there are better ways to do things than the way we have always done things. You mean I can just say, “no” and not have to explain myself? Extraordinary.
But what do I have to add to the conversation? One of the things I’ve noticed on social media recently is that people are gravitating towards authenticity and relatability. We’re less interested in the Kardashians and more curious about each other. We want to see each other’s homes and how we get ready for work in the morning. So who can I, the top of the bell curve, reach? The whole damn bell.
So when inspiration struck to start this blog, I thought to myself.. Do people still start blogs in 2023? Will I stick with it? Can I remember how many Ns are in millennial? The answer to all 3 is.. Maybe 🙂
In any case, I have lived on this planet for over 37 years and I have learned a thing or two along the way. I’m an elder millennial prepared to be your big sister and encourage you to find ways to enhance your life.
What kind of things do I have to share? My experiences in bad relationships and divorce, single motherhood, money problems, problems with over-consumption, makeshift solutions, and of course, skincare.
I am not an expert. My experiences and research is based on my own perspectives. Take what resonates with you and leave the rest.
